Coimbatore: A female police inspector was placed under suspension on Thursday for allegedly supporting charges in relation to financial fraud cases.
Inspector General of Police MS Mutusamy issued the placement of the placement of Inspector J Kalaiiyarasia, who currently works on a serious crime team of Coimbatore rural police, under suspension.
Kalaiyarasi has failed to register the first information report on the company involved in financial fraud when he worked as a police inspector on the wing Economy (EOW), Coimbatore.
He allegedly took more than 45 days to register cases against the defendant.
He failed to capture the one accused of in connection with the case of financial fraud and made him a witness prosecution.
He arrested another person accused and let his family celebrate his birthday at the Eow office building.
