Lucknow: The Women’s Teacher Organization in Uttar Pradesh has started a campaign that is looking for a “period leave” of three days for educators.
Underpointing the need for such campaigns, Uttar Pradesh Mahila Shikshak President Sanghana Maurya on Saturday said the three-day term was needed for women’s teachers, especially considering the poor conditions of the toilet in government schools.
“We formed this relationship on February 8 to work for the causes of women’s teachers who were almost 60 percent of the total strength of teachers in elementary school.
The association already has its units in 50 of 75 countries,” he told PTI.
There are several specific women’s problems that can be raised effectively only by women and associations working on it, said Maurya, adding that even though there is a representation of women in various associations, practical ornaments and men continue to dominate the process.
More importantly, female teachers don’t feel free to share specific problems for them and sometimes important problems for us are not so serious for our male colleagues, the official said that was posted in Barbani School, said.
He said the relationship had met the ministers and representatives of others, and handed over the produce to suppress their requests.
“Delegation of five members of the Association met the Minister of Basic Education Uttar Pradesh Satish Chandra Dwivedi regarding this issue.
He assured that he would discuss this issue with the chairman of Yogi Adityanath minister.
We also met Deputy Minister of Chief Keshav Prasad Maurya and the Minister of Labor Swami Prasad Maurya.
Maurya said.
Meanwhile, the campaign is currently a trend on Twitter with the name ‘Leave period #’.
“Such leave is provided for women in Bihar.
Former Minister of Bihar and Prasad has announced special period leave for two days, but we want to leave three days because we feel this is a needs of women,” he said.
Apart from the campaign on Twitter, officials of Uttar Pradesh Mahila Shikshak had begun to submit a memoranda aimed at CM to various public representatives in various countries.
“We will also meet Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and then head of minister at our request,” added Maurya.
