GADAG: The Betteri extension police arrested two female thieves between countries and restored more valuables than Rs 3 Lakh on Tuesday.
In a press release, SP Yatish N has said the defendant is Sangeeta Suresh and Shruti aka Arati Ramu Salahwar, the native of the Mukundlad Aurangabad region in Maharashtra and Residets from Kaasapur Rings Road in Gadag.
“Bags containing jewelry worth more than RS 3 Lakh belonging to Soumya Satish was stolen in the Nadag New Bus Stand on August 11.
A team was formed to solve the case.
The defendant was found hanging around the new bus stand on September 12.
When asked, they admitted Steal bags.
They have been sent in court detention, “he added.
