Gurgaon: A shopkeeper has been ordered for allegedly attacking a woman and family member near Sheyla Mandir’s eyes.
According to the police, the man sold ‘Prasad’ near the temple and insisted that the woman bought it from him.
He attacked him when he refused, they said.
The complainant, a mid-30s gurgaon resident, told the police that he had participated with his family for Navratri Puja at the temple.
He stopped his car near the Atul Kataria Memorial School to buy Prasad at 6 am on Sunday.
The shopkeeper persuaded him to buy more Prasad but he refused his offer, said that he didn’t need a lot.
But the shopkeeper allegedly continued to insist that he bought more and began to hurt him.
Her husband, father-in-law, brother-in-law and his wife, who also participated with him, came to the store to intervene.
The shopkeeper threw a violation to them too, the woman accused.
He called his friends to his shop and they began to attack the family, he said.
The woman also accused her clothes torn in a fight.
While the family claimed that they suffered injuries and female earrings were also gone, the police said the injury was small.
A pine has been filed against shopkeepers at the Sector 5 police station below 323 (voluntarily causing injury), 506 (criminal intimidation), 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) and 34 (general intentions) IPC.
“The shopkeeper has not been arrested.
We are investigating this case,” said a police officer.
