New Delhi: Refusing the allegations of TMC MLA who said the BSF troops touched the woman “not right” during embezzlement, a senior officer of the border power said the allegations were completely unfounded.
During the discussion on Tuesday in a Western Bengal Assembly at a resolution that opposed the central decision to extend the territorial jurisdiction of strength, MLA Udayan Guha spoke about “the atrocities released by BSF to those who live in the border area”.
“We have seen the type of atrocity carried out by Bharat Ki Jai’s people in front of him.
This incident gave birth to an anti-social element,” he said on the floor of the house.
A senior BSF officer said the paramilitary organization was a professional force that “always carries a mandate by following the rules and regulations”.
“BSF ‘Mahila Praharis’ (female personnel) is the people who rub females,” he said.
He said “the accusation of the BSF personnel of women who touched inappropriately was completely baseless”.
BSF border based in West Bengal, South Bengal is located in Kolkata and North Bengal located in Siliguri, can issue a detailed statement about the controversy, said other force officers.
BSF is widely deployed in the border area of West Bengal as part of its main mandate to maintain the international border of 4,096 KM-Long India-Bangladesh.
