New Delhi: The UNI Minister RK Singh interacts with investors from the US and invites them to explore investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector and the electricity sector in India.
The strength and minister of new & renewable energy also highlighted Indian achievements in this sector during his virtual meeting with the business community.
“The meeting provides an opportunity for the business community to interact with the Union ministers on various aspects of renewable energy and electricity sectors in India and related opportunities available to global investors,” said the Ministry of Power statement.
Singh’s meeting with members of the US Indian Business Council (USIBC) has a “advanced cleaning, energy that is more sustainable and affordable to reduce climate change and Indian economic growth”.
More than 50 industrial leaders who cut various economic sectors including information technology, infrastructure developers, renewable energy producers, banks, flights participated in the event, said the statement.
During the meeting, Singh gave business leaders that India was on track to achieve the renewable energy target set of 450 GW in 2030 and said that the electrical distribution reform and open access promotion to the renewable electricity network would increase renewable energy consumption.
He highlighted India’s achievements in the field of renewable energy, energy access, energy efficiency, reducing emissions intensity and sharing the Indian government’s plan to promote manufacturing and export from India, including the PLI scheme for making solar cells, modules, and green hydrogen promotions.
He welcomed ideas and suggestions to promote this sector to meet the ambitious target of 450 gw.
The Minister reiterated his commitment to further US and the goal with India about climate change, clean energy and sustainability and partnership of Indian Clean Energy Agenda 2030.
