Noida/Ghaziabad: To stop waterlogging through monsoon, the Noida Authority has begun fixing drains and also re-boring tubewells necessary to supply groundwater to the town once the top Ganga canal is closed for desilting.
Seven vulnerable factors are recognized in Noida and function is on at those sites, officials explained.
Similar preparations are already underway at Ghaziabad, in which 69 places are recognized for waterlogging.
Back in Noida, officials explained that the well known well has been set up in Dalit Prerna Sthal close to the DND loop, and among the significant regions to confront waterlogging resulting in traffic jams until Mayur Vihar in Delhi through monsoon rains, and function is anticipated to be complete by end of the month.
Similar sump wells have been put up in Sector 19 and beneath the Mahamaya flyover street resulting in Sector 44.
Gurvinder Singh, senior director (water) of Noida Authority, stated,”We’ve identified seven important points of waterlogging at town.
These include Dalit Prerna Sthal near the DND loop, also that the cloverleaf out of Sector 44 street under Mahamaya flyover, Shiv Shakti Enclave at Sector 80, involving A and B blocks from Sector 19, between E and D block at Sector 27, close Prakash hospital in Sector 33 and close Sector 62.
” While work on Saturdays nicely setup at Dalit Prerna Sthal will be 60 percent complete, Singh stated the remaining portion will be finished at the end of the month.
The Authority also intends to complete 80 percent of the job of re-boring 126 tubewells from town at this month-end.
In Ghaziabad, GMC is gearing up to wash and desilt 500 and drains across town.
“However, the pandemic has thrown out life of equipment, which is currently impacting regular municipal work too.
Now, we’ve only 1 month prior to the monsoon sets in.
Therefore, we’ve chalked out a strategy to finish the pending work whenever you can,” said Mahendra Singh Tanwar, civic commissioner.
