Mysuru: Assistant Commissioner of NAZIA NAZIA SULTANANA has asked workers in an unmaved sector to register their names in the center e-Shram portal to take advantage of the benefits of the social security scheme provided by the government.
He spoke on the public awareness program about the scheme introduced by the Ministry of Manpower at Maharaja Pre-University in the city on Thursday.
“As a worker in an unorganized sector struggling with loss of work and other problems during post-covid time, e-Shram cards will help them to take advantage of medical expenses,” he said.
Working in diverse work such as construction, fishing rods, fishing, fishing, fishing, performances and platforms, street vendors, housework, agriculture and the Allied transportation sector can register on the portal, he said.
Workers in the unorganized sector with monthly income under the RS 15,000, non-paying income taxes can use this card.
