Workers die as part of the flyover collapsing

Madurai: A guest worker died after a portion of the construction collapsed near the Naganakulam tank in Madurai on Saturday night.
The tragedy occurred when construction workers raised Girder (a concrete range connecting two pillars) on the one side of The Madurai – Natham Flyover.
The collapsed part is part of the line to the main flyover.
The 35-meter concrete structure has been placed on two pillars.
Construction workers are in the process of mutual girder above.

There is an unexpected oil leak in the pipe that connects the hydraulic jack below and the elevator above, produces inconsistencies in oil pressure on the machine.
One side of the I Girder falls because of an imbalance, it produces the collapse of the structure.
Akash’s hand was trapped and cut off when he fell.
He also suffered a few fractures when he fell and debris fell on him.
The debris was cleaned and a critical injured man, who fought for his life, rushed to the Rajaji government hospital where he died immediately.
Minister of Finance Tamil Nadu Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, senior official from the Income and Disaster Management Department, police service personnel and firefighters and rescue were in place.
