Rajkot: One person died and two others suffered burns after heat liquid raw material stored in a container fell on them at the cement plant in Jafrabad Taluka from the Amreli district on Sunday.
The incident took place at the Semen Narmada unit located in Babarkot Village here, said Jafrabad Marine Police Inspector, HB Chaudhari.
There is closure in the company because of some technical problems in silos.
“The heat raw material used in making cement falls on several workers, killing 47-year-old workers Bhavesh Raval and injuring the other two,” police sources said.
Three workers are cleaning this silo when raw materials fall on them.
They were taken to the Rajula Government Hospital where Raval died.
Two other workers shifted to Mahuva in the Bhavnagar district for further treatment.
The police have registered cases of unintentional deaths and began investigating to see if this happened because of the negligence of the company.
