Working on Jalan Bajera is jammed because it rains, holes & dust adds to the commuter misery

Gurgaon: The opening of a widely awaited flyover on Jalan Bajera in January last year and widening by the Department of Public Works (PWD) in October has given a little break to passengers traveling from Gurgaon using stretches.
This is because the four pathways in the 110A sector suddenly ended only 500 m before Dwarka Expressway, and the unthinkable approach that connects stretching to the freeway rejected with holes and dust, making a nightmare.
In addition, flooded during the rainy season, adding commuter misery.
Residents say the widening of the road has no meaning during the path of the approach continues to remain in a sad state.
“The vehicle maneuver on this small stretch is difficult.
The situation is worse when it rains.
I have slipped on the road several times and even broke my feet once,” said Manoj Singh, a resident of Sector 110.
PWD completed the widening of the road after delaying more than four months last year.
The 3.5km village road is converted to the four path sector path, but the 500m path that connects the 110A sector with Dwarka Expressway is left unattended.
It will be developed by the National Highway Authority (NHAI), which builds underpasses in the same stretch to connect the 110A sector with sector 113.
As part of the Dwarka Expressway, NHAI has proposed to build underpasses and black-top stretches.
However, his work stopped in the middle of the road because he was struggling with traffic management and the accumulation of rainwater on stretching.
The initial deadline for underpasses is June 2021.
“Work on the underpass box structure is underway but must be slowed because of the monsoon.
It requires severe excavation work and cannot be done during the rainy season.
After the rain is excessive, we will speed up work and try and solve it on December this year, “said Senior Nhai official to Ti.
Revamp for road approaches, however, may be stuck without adequate road rights for passengers.
Inadequate space is available on both sides of the underpass to divert traffic and black-top stretches, Nhai said.
“When we get land from the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) to build a way of approach, we were told that there were quite a lot of lines.
But, we later found the line inadequate and we faced difficulties in diverting traffic,” the official said.
NHAI contractors for projects, L & T, said they have urged GMDA to see this problem and suggest possible ways to develop stretches without causing a lot of traffic disturbances.
“The last choice is to take one side at a time, block traffic on that side for a short time and divert it to the other side.
The problem is that there isn’t enough space on both sides to make an alternative route for traffic.
We will wait for Nhai And GMDA to receive a telephone, “said an official L & T.
When asked, a GMDA official said Nhai had raised this problem in several meetings held earlier this year and that they were comprehensively at the points raised by NHAI”.
