Chennai: Madras High Court on Friday provided assistance from the arrest to the former Minister of Tamil Nadu K Tajenthrabhalaji and V Saroja.
Both were ordered for work extortion during their term as minister.
Recognizing their anticipatory guarantee application, justice M Nirmal Kumar verbally instructed the police not to catch them until November 24.
According to prosecution, the FIRS has been registered against Rajenthrabhalaji based on complaints that he has deceived money with a variety of people promising work in Aavin, cooperative milk-producing companies owned by the state government.
Likewise, a pine was registered against Saroja based on the complaint that he had deceived various people to the RS 76.50 lakh tone promising work organizer lunch at the State Social Welfare Department.
While Rajenthrabhalaji accused the cases had been registered with him because of political hostility, Saroja said that the complainant was a close relative and the case was caused by family hostility.
