World Space Week to start today

Thiruvananthapuram: Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC), Liquid Propulsion System Center (LPSC) and ISRO (IISU) Inertia System Unit (IISU) will begin the World Space Week (WSW) celebration with an initial program on Monday at 10:00.
S Geetha, Director of Program, STS, VSSC, Chair, Steering Committee, WSW 2021, will provide a welcome address.
Followed by the address of the President by S Somnath, Director, VSSC, Secretary Chief Dr.
V Joy, who is a major guest, will overcome the meeting.
Dr.
V Narayanan, Director, LPSC, DR D Sam Dayala DEV will provide awareness.
Special address by Prof.
Pascale Ehrenfreund, President, International Astronautics Federation (IAF) and President, International Space University (Issues), will be broadcast through a virtual media platform.
Such shows, space habitat challenges, painting competitions, quiz competitions, web-based lectures, astrophotographic contests, elocution competition is being planned for school and college students.
