Worshipers are prohibited from visiting four temples

Coimbatore: Anticipating a large crowd at the temples on the new Moon Day on Monday, the District Administration has banned the climbing of the Subramaniyaswami Temple in Marudhamalai, a Pateeswarar Temple in Perur, Vanabadrakaliamman Temple at the Anamalai and Masani Temple in Anamalai.
Although the temple was reopened because worshipers from June 28, weekend restrictions were introduced in the first week of August to reduce the Covid case.
A total of 244 Covid-19 cases were reported on Saturday, while 239 and 215 cases were respectively reported on Friday and Thursday.
While worshipers will not be allowed to offer worship in four temples, rituals will be carried out as usual.
