Patna: After staying closed for almost five months in the middle of a covid-induced lock, all places of worship in the state were thrown open for worshipers on Thursday.
The visitors, asked to follow all safety guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.
More than 25,000 worshipers flocked to the Mahavir Temple near Junction Patna on Day 1.
Everyone wore a mask and underwent thermal screening.
“We hope footsteps will increase in the next few days,” Acharya Kishore Kunal, Secretary Mahavir Mandir Trust, told this newspaper on Thursday.
Khajpura Shiv Mandir also opened his gate for visitors from 6am to 12pm and 2.30pm to 9pm days 1.
Everyone was seen following Covid security norms at the temple location.
A worshiper, Sangeeta Singh, said, “I patiently waited for the temple to be reopened Enter the campus one by one.

“Even though we arrange a big event on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami every year, we plan to keep the celebration simple this time,” Mohan Prabhu, a member of the temple, claimed.
The worshiper entry was also limited in a Hanuman temple in Nepal Nagar.

Maulana Mohd Alam Qoasmi, Tanzeem Operator Tanzeek AIEMMA Masjid (Imam Association in Bihar), shows that all 105 mosques, which are part of the association, have been opened and followed the Covid Safety Protocol.
“Mat, curtains, and carpets are expelled from all mosques so that the worshipers can offer Namaz on the floor.
Their premise is also cleaned properly,” he added.
Shadab Ahmed, a worshiper, said, “It feels fun to offer Namaz in a large group with the head of the mosque that does the prayer service.”
