Kolkata: Many worshipers gathered at Dakshineswar Kolkata’s temple on the occasion of Puja times on Thursday morning.
Puja times are the main festivals in West Bengal celebrated on Diwali’s day.
In other parts of the country, people worship Dewi Lakshmi on the occasion of Diwali.
According to Hindu mythology, Goddess was the first of the ten incarnations of Dewi Durga.
Described with a ferocious face and a scary look, Dewi times considered the most aggressive form of Dewi Durga.
Earlier this week, the Supreme Court has set aside the Calcutta High Court orders places blanket prohibitions on sales, purchases and use of all types of firecrackers in the state during Puja times, Diwali celebrations and several other celebrations this year to examine air pollution in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.
