NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police’s Crime Branch is going to be passed over the situation linked to this Chhatrasal Stadium brawl that resulted in the passing of a 23-year-old wrestler here, officials said on Sunday.
The growth comes after Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar (37) along with his aide Ajay were detained in outside Delhi’s Mundka region.
The authorities said the situation, that is now being researched from the provincial district authorities, will be formally transferred into the Crime Branch unit from Monday.

“We’ve been advised that the situation will likely be further researched by the group of the Crime Branch. However, the situation will be formally handed over to the latest by tomorrow (Monday),” a senior police officer said.
The situation relates to the May 4 incident in the scene where wrestler Sagar Rana expired and a few of his buddies, Sonu and Amit Kumar, were wounded when they were allegedly attacked by Sushil Kumar along with other wrestlers.
