New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday underlines the need for high court judges to become clear and right on facts and laws when writing a verdict, saying that “inadequate that the decision is accurate, it must also be reasonable, logical and easy to understand”.
Expressing concerns over some assessments written by HC Judge, Judge D y Chandrachud and M R Shah said it was very difficult to appreciate what the judge was judged to be conveyed through assessment and court forced to stop new consideration.
Observing that the verdict, which was conveyed by Allahabad HC while providing a guarantee to five inmates for life, did not have clarity, the bench said that it was unfortunate that the SC bench must explain how the assessment must be written and and what to stirred.
