A report by market research companies shows that Xiaomi has emerged as the second largest smartphone brand in terms of delivery during Q2 2021.
China’s technology giant jumped over Apple to record this achievement.
The report said there were several factors behind Xiaomi’s growth in the smartphone market.

Ben Stanton, research manager, Canalys said that Xiaomi’s shipments “increased by more than 300% in Latin America, 150% Africa and 50% in Western Europe.” The company, according to Stanton, “now changes its business model from Challenger to Cuplengent, with initiatives such as the consolidation of channel partners and more careful management of older stocks on the open market.” The Xiaomi price determination model also helps the company because it remains more than the mass market brand.
The average selling price compared to Samsung and Apple, the average selling price of around 40% and 75% cheaper.
