Yaas landfall Probably between Paradip and Sagar islands

BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI:’ Cyclone’Yaas’ is predicted to make landfall between Paradip and Sagar islands since a’very severe cyclonic storm’ using a speed rate of 155- 165 kmph gusting into 185 kmph on Wednesday evening, causing heavy rain in the coastal regions of West Bengal and northern Odisha. Releasing its own observed and forecast track, the IMD on Sunday warned of storm surge of approximately 2-4 m in mountainous regions of both the countries. Amid these predictions, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi examined the preparedness of countries and central bureaus to take care of the problem arising from Cyclone’Yaas’ – the title provided by Oman.
