Yavatmal: A 24-year-old man died after a helicopter he built developed an error and one of the blades fell on his head in Yavatmal District, police said on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Fulsavangi Village at Mahagaon Taluka on Tuesday night, when Sheikh Ismail Sheikh Ibrahim, a mechanic, was testing his helicopter in his workshop, an official said.
The deceased has built its own helicopter since the last two years, he said.
According to the initial report, Ibrahim was testing the machine, when developing an error and one of the blades fell on his head, the official said.
The victim rushed to the hospital in a state of injury and died during treatment, he said, added that further details were awaited.
