Year, there has been no action against STP violators

Noida: More than a year since the national mission for the Clean Ganga team (NMCG) visited all waste treatment plants (STP) in Noida and Ghaziabad and found 10 of the 14 STPs that did not function properly, there was no action taken against violators in Noida.
The NMCG team has directed DMS and the State pollution control board to take action against related officials and private companies that operate this STPS.
The team found that more than 371 waste untreated was dismissed in Yamuna and Hindon from Stps.
While NMCG, and in turn DMS, recommends actions within a week, nothing is done to improve the STPS situation in the past year.
After environmental activists raised the problem last month, the NMCG team answered that they were still waiting for reports from the two districts.
“Debit STP can be easily managed, but the authorities do not seem to pay attention at all.
The water that is not treated out of the stps has also invited criticism from NGT.
Even though the NMCG team said they were not obedient, the authorities had not reported improvement in their condition in one year Finally, “said Vikrant Tongad activist.
In GB Nagar, four of the eight STPs found were not in accordance with those in Sector 123, Sector 168, Kasna Road and Ecotech III.
Meanwhile, sources in Noida authorities explained that STP remained non-functional because of disputes among operating company partners, which have been resolved now.
“All SYPS works now and only removes the water treated.
When the NMCG team visits, we have not issued an agreement to operate from the country.
Now there is a routine check, and monthly water quality reports are also sent to IIT Delhi.
External bodies also regularly test and sample Water entry and outlets, “said a senior official from the Noida Authority.
