Noida: More than a year since the national mission for the Clean Ganga team (NMCG) visited all waste treatment plants (STP) in Noida and Ghaziabad and found 10 of the 14 STPs that did not function properly, there was no action taken against violators in Noida.
The NMCG team has directed DMS and the State pollution control board to take action against related officials and private companies that operate this STPS.
The team found that more than 371 waste untreated was dismissed in Yamuna and Hindon from Stps.
While NMCG, and in turn DMS, recommends actions within a week, nothing is done to improve the STPS situation in the past year.
After environmental activists raised the problem last month, the NMCG team answered that they were still waiting for reports from the two districts.
