Dubai: Yemeni rebels against the Saudi Saudi Arabia border city, Jizan killed two people and injured seven more Friday, reported the Saudi State-Run media.
Houthi Yemen rebels launched a projectile that killed Saudi and Resident Yemeni in the Southwest Saudi province Jizan, the official Saudi press agency reported.
Six of those who were injured were Saudi and one was a citizen of Bangladesh, said Saudi Media.
Bullets also hit the nearest car and shops.
Fatal cross-border attack marks escalation in the Civil War which lasted Yemen.
Saudi-LED Military Coalition Airstrikes attacked Sanaa before on Friday, hitting a military camp near the city center, Saudi media reports.
Houthi Media said the strike had hit a population, damaging the house.
On Saturday, Yemen Brig.
General Yehia Sarie, a Houthi spokesman, said the rebels fired three ballistic missiles in Jizan, targeting what he described as a “vital and sensitive” site there.
He did not provide further details.
The Yemen war erupted in 2014 when Houthi supported by Iran won Sanaa and most of the northern countries.
A few months later, the Saudi LED coalition supported by A.S.
Intervenience to overthrow Houthi and restore internationally recognized governments.
The war has settled on a deadlock and raises the worst humanitarian disaster in the world.
Throughout the conflict, Houthis has increasingly contradicting a drone attack and firing missiles across the border at the airport, oil facilities and military installations in the kingdom.
The attacks rarely caused substantial damage, but for many years it injured dozens and lamenting the global oil market.
In Yemen, the Saudi LED bombing campaign has attracted international criticism to hit non-military targets such as hospitals and weddings in the poorest countries in the Arab world.
Yemeni’s civil war has killed around 130,000 people, including thousands of civilians.
Earlier this week the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Washington-based Think Tank, reported that the attack by Houthi rebels in Saudi Arabia had more than doubled last year.
Based on the analysis of thousands of Houthi attacks between 2016 and 2021, he said Houthi’s attack on the royal average of 78 a month this year, compared to 38 months ago.
Cross-border attacks provide a broader view of the regional proxy war between Tehran and Riyadh.
Although regional powerhouses were recently involved in bagdad-broker talks to lower tensions, political settlement in Yemen is still difficult to understand.
