CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday reported that yoga was included in school program for Courses 1 to 10 in the current academic semester.
He was covering an event on the occasion of this International Yoga Day.” .

.We have contained yoga at college program from this past year for Courses 1 to 10 in order that kids make it part of their everyday lives,” Khattar said.
“Just like we are in need of oxygen, water and food, likewise, keep your body healthy biking has its own significance.
To inculcate the habit of practising yoga and also to make it part of pupils’ lives since youth, we’ve opted to incorporate it in college program from this calendar year,” he further added.
Back in Decemberthe Haryana government had declared that yoga could be contained as a distinct topic in most government schools in the upcoming academic session.
An official announcement had previously said the program for yoga could be made in such a manner it might have both theoretical and practical material about the routine of real education.
Khattar said the state government’s goal was to take yoga into the grassroot level and motivate individuals to make it part of the lifestyle.
With this,’vyayamshalas’ (gyms) along with other decent infrastructure has been made available in the village level.
“We have opted to install yoga and’vyamshalas’ from 1,000 villages.
Thus far, these are put up in 550 villages and work is happening in the remainder.
One million yoga coaches and 22 yoga trainers are also appointed,” he explained.
However on these events being held throughout the country in the event of International Yoga Dayhe explained programmes were being ran in 1,100 areas in all 22 districts, and together with 50 participants participating at every venue by subsequent Covid protocols.
Meanwhile, the Haryana wellness minister Anil Vij participate in an event arranged in Ambala.
