New Delhi: Yoga Training has been included in the “Study in India” program to encourage people from abroad trying to learn it to get authentic training in this country, Education Minister Union Dharmendra Pradhan said on Monday.
Pradhan provides information in response to written questions on Lok Sabha.

You have succeeded in throwing your voteogin to see the results of “Study in India” is a superior project from the Indian government, launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs and the Indian Medical Council in April 2018.
“The government has included yoga training in the ‘study program in India’ to encourage yoga seekers from abroad to get authentic yoga training in India,” he said.
“UGC has agreed to the establishment of the Science of Yoga-Yogic Inter University in Bengaluru and introduced Yoga as the subject of the New National Feasibility Test (NET) from January 2017 UGC-Net and so on.
The Yoga Department has been established in nine central universities,” Pradhan.

According to the Integrated District Information System Report for Education (UDISE) 2019-20, the total number of designated physical education teachers (PET) is 72,375.
