New Delhi: Yogesh Singh Professor, Deputy Chancellor of Delhi Technology University has been appointed as VC University of Delhi.
Together with Singh, President of RAM Nath Kovind, who is also visitors appointed Professor Neelima Gupta as VC from other central universities, Dr.
Day Singh Gour Vishwavidala, Sagar.
This letter for this effect was issued by the Ministry of Education on Wednesday.
Singh has undergone a second term as VC DTU.
He will be 23 VCs from DU, who will succeed in Professor Yogesh Tyagi.
Tyagi, which was suspended last October on charges of irregularities and dereltioning on duty, releasing accusations on the last day of the term on March 9, 2021.
Tyagi is the first VC in such history.

Yogesh Singh was reappointed as DTU VC for the second period in April this year.
He joined DTU 2017 and before that, he served as Director of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology from 2014-2017, VC from Maharaja Mejirao University of Baroda between 2011 and 2014, and as a Dean of Information Technology at Teacher University Gobind Singh Indraprastha, or IP University From 2001 to 2006.
He is also a member of the National Assessment Executive Committee and the Accreditation Board since October 3, 2019.

Singh received his MTech in the field of electronics and communication and PHD techniques in computer engineering degrees from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana.
He has overseen 23 PhDs in the field of software engineering and has more than 250 publications in international and national journals / conferences.
Some major singh challenges will face the implementation of various schemes under the 2020 national education policy, such as four years graduates with several entry programs and resolving teacher promises.
The teacher’s section and students have opposed the four-year program and NEP 2020.

The previous Indian President in July approved the appointment of 12 Chancellor representatives covering the Central University of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad.
After two promises on Wednesday, the position of the empty VC at eight central universities including the University of Jawaharlal Nehru.
Gupta currently serves as VC from Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University – (TMBU), Bihar.
He previously vc from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur.
South Bihar Central University (Style), Manipur University, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (Manu), North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) and Ghasidas University teacher, Bilaspur is also among the universities designated by new VC.
