The trials will be conducted under strict supervision of the Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO).
Sources said, according to the protocol, the tests will be carried out during the six weeks before the Metro was launched for a commercial run.
Two Metro train sets already parked at one depot of them will be used for testing.
Each train had three coaches.
As planned, to become fully operational, six Metro trains will run on priority corridors between IIT and Motijheel and two trains will remain parked in the depot as a backup.
Six more trains will arrive in the city at the time of commercial operation was launched.
Mahana said he had been told by officials of the Metro that the first phase of work is almost concluded on Sunday.
