Lucknow: Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Monday attacked the Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav to “compare” Muhammad Ali Jinnah with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, said Talibani mentality believed in the breaking society.
Deputy Minister of Chief Keshav Prasad Maurya slammed Yadav, summoning SP head “Akhilesh Ali Jinnah”.
The head of Aimim Asaduddin Owaisi and President BSP Mayawati also hit Yadav to talk about Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru and Jinnah on Sunday in the same breath as leaders who struggled for Indian independence.
Adityanath said, “I listened to Akhilesh Ji’s statement yesterday.
He compared Jinnah, who divided the country, with Sardar Patel, who brought a common nation.
This is a shameful statement.” CM said it was unacceptable and everyone had to curse him.
“Yadav must regret his statement as insulting Sardar Patel will not be accepted,” he said.
“Sardar Patel is the basis of Indian unity and integrity, and is also the architect of the nation,” he said, adding that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi belief ‘Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat’ was brought forward.
BSP crashed into Yadav on Monday for talking about the two leaders in the same breath and alleged that there was a “collusion” between SP and BJP.
In a tweet, Mayawati accused Yadav’s statement about Jinnah and the BJP response to it was part of a well-thoughting strategy from both parties to weaken the atmosphere.
Owaici also criticized Yadav, said that Muslims living in India have rejected the theory of two Nations Jinnah and Yadav otherwise talking about today.
