Apple Maps has got the biggest update with iOS 15.
With this update, the map navigation application will now allow you to explore the main cities of the world in 3D by adding further details on map of the city, get directions on the augmented reality and drive routes with navigation and much more.
Apple Maps is now available in London, Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco Bay Area, with more cities to be added in the future such as Philadelphia later this year and Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and others will be added next year.
City maps will show the environment, commercial districts, marinas, buildings, and more.
According to Apple, you will also be able to see detailed elevation in all cities, new road labels, and hundreds of landmarks specifically designed such as coit towers in San Francisco, Dodger Stadium in LA, Statue of Liberty in NYC and Royal Albert Hall in London.
Other landmarks also come to Apple Maps with updates in the future.
Designed to help drivers in cities, Apple Maps has added more details such as turning paths, medians, buses and taxi lanes and crossings.
Plus the highway with complex exchanges that overlap is given in the display of 3D road levels, according to the technology giant.
For public transport riders, the nearest station will be displayed at the top of the screen and they can embed their favorite lines on the map.
According to Apple, “After the transit route is selected, the map will automatically tell the user when it comes time to go down when they approach their final destination, and the driver can even track Apple Watch.” Apple Maps has something for those who walk into their workplaces or who roam around the city on foot and it’s also in augmented reality.
By maintaining your iPhone, users can scan buildings in this area, and Apple Maps will produce detailed directions that can be seen as part of the real world.
