‘You have strangled Delhi by holding a sitting protest’: SC to Mahapachayat Kisan

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday warned a group of farmers to strangle the national capital by staging protests on the highway against three agricultural laws.
The APEX court said farmers had blocked not only people’s movements but the armed forces too.
Rebuke came after Kisan Mahapakechayat moved the court looking for permission to enter Delhi to eradicate protests in Mantar.
Kisan Mahapachayat is the body of the agricultural community and farmers who protest from three agricultural laws.
“You can’t come to court and at the same time continue with protest.

SC bench led by justice A M Khanwilkar said protests had strangled traffic to and from Delhi.
“Every citizen has a free movement for free.
You have stopped the business.
Do you ask residents around the points of protests whether they are happy with protests,” he asked.

Kisan Mahapachayat said that denying permission to hold Satyagraha who was peaceful and non-violent and without violence in the designated place in Jantar Mantar who violated the rights of basic democracy spoken as fundamental rights under the Indian Constitution.
It is said that the actions of authority are “discriminatory and arbitrary” as permits to protest have been given to other farmers’ bodies, Sanyukt Kisan Morcha, while denying them to set Satyavah who staggered.
The court requested Mahapachayat Kisan to submit a written statement that they were not part of the farmers’ protest preventing the highway on Monday.
