Ludhiana: This year, city residents may get help from traffic chaos during the festival season.
Recently, the Indian National Highway Authority (NHAI) team, led by the Krishan Sachdeva project director, along with the commissioner with police Deepak Pareap, has visited various fields of problems and produces several changes and improvements to finer traffic flows.
There is a chaos because of the Ludhiana-Ferozepur Road Flyover project from Bharat Nagar Chowk to The Old Octroi Post, which is about 10 km and includes the main area connecting to the Mini Secretariat, Feroze Gandhi Market, Gurdev Nagar, Sarabha Nagar, Ghumar Bath, National Road, National Road, BRS Nagar, Punjab Agricultural University, Malhar Road, Maharaj Nagar, South Bypass, South City Road, Verka Milk Plants and Rajguru Nagar.
In addition, this is the main road that leads to Jagraon, Moga, Bathinda and Ferozepur.
So not only people travel in the city, but also those who go to other districts.
With the festival season it will begin, the situation will get worse.
Police Commissioner Naunihal Singh said, “It is our responsibility to ensure smooth traffic, especially when the festival season is approaching and developing projects.
Commissioner with Police Deepak Pareak has been asked to focus only on traffic problems and make them resolved, so people do not suffer .
“Pareak said,” We made an effort to make free streets.
I have contacted the NHAI project director for this task and we both visited various places on Jalan Ferozepur to understand the problem and produce a solution.
We have identified several points on Jalan Ludhiana -Ferozepur where we have begun to make the changes needed to facilitate congestion.
“” Like Malhar Road-Ferozepur Road Crossing is one of the most chaotic places because of the development work at Malhar Road under the City City project is ongoing.
We have made some changes to expand the intersection so it is Ih lots of vehicles can pass.
Then stretch near Jalan Pau-Malhar closed in advance and the project work has not started, so we opened for traffic after the carpet again.
We also made changes in the barricade, so that it includes less space and the road becomes a little wider.
Elsewhere, we widened the road with a carpet back in a broken area.
Nhai just left one way for traffic in certain places, but we opened another stretch to provide more space for the vehicle.
In the coming days, occupants may face less congestion on this road, “he added.
He said besides Jalan Ludhiana-Ferozepur, places like Basti Jodhewal Chowk, Samrala Chowk, Shivpuri Chowk, Tajpur Road Crossing, Rahon Road, Jalandhar Bypass, Hambran Road near KVM School, Dugri Canal Bridge and Ghumar Bath will also be borne in the next few days.
