Coimbatore: The meeting had necessated complaints for West Zone police personnel saw half of the participants who were looking for transfers to other zones – South, Central and North.

He saw the participation of 843 police personnel – from additional supervisors to Concents – from Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri and Namakkal District.
Director General of Police (DGP) C Sylendra Babu received a petition from police personnel.
“More than 50% of them have searched for transfers to other zones, while some people want to transfer to their original districts in the Western Zone.
Their petitions will be considered as and when the newly recruited police join the strength.” He said some police filed petitions for Restore their seniority and revoke their punishment.
“We have formed a special team for fast exile of the original petition.” In a press statement, the police said the DGP office in Chennai had received 1,340 petitions between July and November 2021.
“From them, 1.058 is a pity petition.
We have revoked the penalty in 366 cases and returned 51 police in service, while collecting a sentence of 164 police.
“At least 1,353 police personnel were transferred to their original district during the period.
“The police can hand over complaints that are not arranged by the DGP to the minister’s chairman directly,” he said.
DGP has received 5,326 petitions from the police in 38 districts in the state under the program ‘Ungal Thuraiyil Muthalamich’ so far.
