New Delhi: Minister of Union Affairs of Youth and Anurag Sports Thakur praised all the athletes and coaches given with the National Sports Award 2021.
President of India, RAM Nath Kovind, presented the Sports and Adventure Award 2021 (Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Awards -2021, Dronacharya Awards 2021, Arjuna Awards-2021, Dhyan Chand Awards-2021, Rashtriya Khel Purushar-2021 Protsahan, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy-2021 and Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards-2020) At a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday.
Olympic gold medal Neeraj Chopra, Wrestler Ravi Kumar, Avani Lekhara shooter, Skipper Indian Football Team Sunil Chhetri and India Cricket Stalwart Mithali Raj was included among 12 athletes who received the main award for Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna.
Anurag Thakur congratulated everyone and said the achievement of athletes would inspire future generations to achieve sports excellence.

Lovlina Borghain (Boxing), Sreejesh P.R (Hockey), Antil Sumit (Athletics), Pramod Bhagat (Badminton), Manish Narwal (Parareet Parareet), and Manpreet Singh (Hockey) is another athlete provided with a prestigious award.
Indians opened the Shikhar Dhawan dough, Tokyo 2020 Perak Paralympics Silver Medal Bhavina Patel, and the Shuttler and Noida DM Suhas Yathiraj were among 35 athletes who received a prestigious Arjuna award.
Indian Athletic coach TP ofeeeph and former Indian women’s hockey captain Pritam Siwach is between the 10 trainers who received the Dronacharya award.
The award function was specifically organized in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
National sports awards are given every year to recognize and appreciate excellence in sports.
