Lucknow: Patient care services in the department of Patients out (OPD) are influenced at the medical university of King George (KGMU) on Tuesday after university employees carry out unlimited attacks that demand a higher salary scale.
After holding talks, strikes had been postponed for a month.
While some patients had to return without consultation even after taking the promise of the previous week, the university claimed there were no affected operations and patients were treated in OPD.
After the daily strike, the government and administration of KGMU held a meeting on Tuesday night after the employee decided to delay their protest for the next month based on the guarantee that day.
KGMU employees, under the leadership of their association President Pradeep Gangswar, has demanded the scale of paying equivalent to their colleagues in SGPGI.
In a letter by the Directorate of Medical Education (DGME) to the KgUrikmu Registrar that the day was conveyed that the restructuring of KGU employee cadres was in the process at the government level.
“Against the list of 42 university cadres, the government’s order has been received for two cadres.
The restructuring status of 14 other cadres is in the final stage to be completed in the next month.
The process to accelerate the decision on the remaining cadres is also being tried,” the DGME letter is read.
The protest that day became a big problem for some patients who came to KgMu from afar and extensive, many of them had to return without consulting.
Jitendra Pratap Singh, who came from Rae Bareli to get a consultation at the OPD Neurology Department, said, “I made an appointment two weeks ago.
Now I was told that the OPD did not work.
