Tuticorin: A 22-year-old young man was found dead with his head cut off in a village in Tuticorin District Tamil Nadu on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as P Madankumar, 22, a painter from Stalin Colony in Kovilpatti who also works as a cookular cook.
The police request revealed that Madankumar left his house on Thursday night to drink tea but did not return.
His family and his friends began to look for him.
On Friday morning, the West Kovilpatti police received information that the beheaded body was found in Manhithoopu.
The body was later identified as Madankumar.
The body was sent to the Kovilpatti government hospital for autopsy.
Tuticorin supervisor from Police S Jayakumar conducted an initial investigation at the crime.
The police formed a special team to investigate this case.
They conducted an investigation with his relatives and close colleagues to identify the suspects.
The police source said the reason for the murder was unknown.
