Thiruvananthapuram: The officers of Kazhakootam excise range on Tuesday detained a 31-year-old guy, who had been supposedly brewing spirits in his under-construction home at Kadinamkulam.
The officers identified the accused because Umesh, a building labourer by livelihood.
They also have captured four litres of freshly-brewed illegal liquor, 300 minutes of brewing and wash devices consisiting of a LP gas cylinder and stove in the house.
Kazhakootam excise range builder Mohamed Rafi stated that the grab was founded on a tip-off in the intelligence wing of the excise section.
It was a joint performance together with officials of Kadinamkulam government channel.
It’s supposed that Umesh began brewing spirits to capitilize about the absence of accessibility of alcohol through the lockdown.
Soon after documenting his arrest, the accused had been produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
The group that created the capture consisted of excise preventative officer Binu, tier preventative officer Manikantan Nair, civil Counsel officers Subhash along with Rahim, girl civil excise officer Juna and excise preventative officer (intellect ) Santhosh Kumar.
The police group consisted of helper sub-inspector Chakran and civil authorities officer Rejin Das.
