BHUBANESWAR: The special group of the commissionerate authorities on Wednesday detained a childhood on charges of assaulting a girl with a knife close CRPF Square on Monday.
The accused had been known as Amar Digal, a resident of Lease Colony.
Police detained him together with the support of all CCTV footage.
He tried to grab the girl’s cellular phone.
When she awakened, he assaulted her with a knife.
“We’re interrogating him” a senior police officer stated.
Anshu Gupta, the wounded girl, was walking into a local vegetable marketplace throughout lockdown comfort hours (7am to 11am) if Digal assaulted her.
This is the third such assault on Gupta at the previous eight weeks.
From the past two episodes, her series and phone was snatched.
The authorities are attempting to discover if Digal was included from the prior two instances.
“We confirmed his antecedents.
He wasn’t detained earlier.
He’s jobless and is hooked on intoxicants.
He tried the snatching to purchase medication,” the police officer stated.
