Youth jumped to death from Electronics City Expressway

Bengaluru: The 28-year-old sales executive with a private company died allegedly by suicide after jumping from the city of Electronics to raise the freeway on Tuesday.
Venkatesh, a citizen of Gudda, JP Nagar, and a sales executive with an electronic showroom in the BTM layout, parked his bicycle on the flyover and talked to someone on the phone for some time.
About 12.05 in the morning, he jumped from the flyover and crashed into the road about 50 feet below.
Venkatesh climbed the kite side wall and jumped from there.
He suffered a severe injury and died instantly.
Initially, the police suspected that he had fallen accidentally, but on verifying CCTV recordings, they found him jumping from the wall.
The police said he was calling cellular for more than 20 minutes before taking extreme steps.
His cellphone was completely broken in the incident.
The police collected the call detailed record (CDR) to find out who he was talking to before taking a plunge.
His parents told police that they did not know about Venkatesh facing any problems that would force him to take steps.
