Letter: Investigation of the arrest of 19-year-old BBA students Vansh Bansal because the alleged smuggling of Charas from Himachal Pradesh revealed that the defendant used the train route when he was afraid of high security at the airport.
In their initial interrogation, the police knew that the Bansal himself was an addict since he studied in class XII and finally became a pedler.
He had gone to Kasol at Himachal Pradesh on January 21 and has returned on Thursday.
Bansal goes to Himachal Pradesh by airplane.
SOG has received a tip-off of youth from the city that returns with a contraband from HP.
Based on the details, the police arrested him when he left the train station in the early city on Thursday morning.
Youth, the son of a wholesale saree businessman from the Vesu area, was found carrying 997 grams of Charas worth Rs 4,98,500, in addition to cigarette lighter, cash, and cellphones all worth Rs 5,48,920.
During the main interrogation, the police knew that he was studying in the second year of BBA at a city campus and also helped his father in his business.
At school, he began smoking with his friends and immediately became an addict.
He then learned about getting a contraband in Kasol and began visiting the place to buy medicine for himself and also sell it.
This is the second time when he smuggles Charas to the city.
He told his parents that he would go to Himachal Pradesh with his friends, while in reality he went alone just to buy medicine, police said.
