Ludhiana: A young man and an old woman died after a car that quickly ran to their motorcycle near Bypass Village Hariyon in Samrala on Monday night.
The car dragged an elderly woman for several meters, killing her in place.
The young man, who rode a bicycle, died on his way to the hospital.
The victims have been identified as Karanvir Singh, 18, Kirniyan Village, Samrala, and Malcit Kaur, 75, from Hariyon Village.Police said the accident occurred around 8pm.
Karanvir is a class XII student and Malkit is a widow.

When he reaches near the village of Hariyon, he gives an elevator to Malkit, who will also go to Samrala, on his motorbike.

The case has been listed below Section 279 (Rash Driving), 427 (damage that causes damage to fifty rupees) and 304-A (causing death) IPC against the driver of the car, which has not been identified.
