New Delhi: Google is one of the companies that take into account security accounts with quite serious and the company has encouraged users to choose 2-step verification.
Now Giant Tech has announced that YouTube creators will be asked to use a 2-step verification method to access important functions from the end of this year.
YouTube brings Twitter to announce this new change.
In a tweet, the company confirmed its plan to request the YouTube creator to use a stronger account protection.
YouTube will now ask the creator to use 2 step verification to access the YouTube studio.
This change will be required from November 1, 2021.
Google has also confirmed that there is one exception to this change.
Users will still be able to use YouTube and even upload videos on platforms without 2-step verification.
However, if you party to the YouTuber partner program, which means if you make money from the platform then you have to verify 2 steps.
You can access the 2-step verification option from account settings.
Recently, Google’s YouTube has now revealed that now has two million creators in the money-making partner program.
The company also mentions that it has paid more than $ 30 billion to creators, artists and media companies for the past three years.
The Youtube Partner Program (YPP) is the first open monetization initiative where anyone who meets the requirements can join and start making money.
To qualify for partner programs, creators need at least 1,000 customers and 4,000 hours of time watching overall on their channels in the last 12 months.
