Zero letter in good news: seven days, 0 deaths

On March 12, City had reported the first death because Covid-19 in the second wave and the number increased to a surprising height since then.
During the same month the four highest deaths in a day are recorded.
It reached the peak of 28 deaths on April 19, according to the record of the Municipal Corporation (SMC) letter.
In May, 18 highs of deaths were reported on May 18 while in June the highest two deaths were reported in 1.
June, a total of 529 deaths were recorded by SMC because of Covid-19.
However, according to Civic’s body record, a total of 4,795 deaths are registered during April.
SMC officials claimed that his death was high because Covid and also because of the high number of patients from outside the city were treated at the city hospital.
After the peak in April, the number of cases and deaths began to decline gradually and in June one death was recorded in most days with several days registering nil.
Since March 1, more than 50 positive cases were reported per day during the second wave, which peaked to 2,321 cases on April 24.
The case per day also fell to less than 20 last week of June.
“The number of cases will not go down to the one digit in the current situation because the disease has not been under full control.
Cases have declined and no death has been reported for the past week but people need to be careful and follow the appropriate behavior Covid is strictly, “said an official at the Ministry of Health.
SMC officials claim that various preventive measures result in maintaining the number of controlled cases.
“We are currently doing 16,000 tests every day and also supervision at the entry point in the city to ensure that cases are still under control.
People also follow the rules and situations of Covid tend to remain controlled,” said Banchhanidhi Pani, Commissioner of the city of the city.
