Zika sample testing to start in the Covid lab on GSVM from Wed

Kanpur: Zika sample testing facilities will begin in Covid Lab (Department of Microbiology) Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Medical College from Wednesday and so on.
“Kit 100 samples have been purchased from KgMu Lucknow,” the informed GSVM authority.
The authorities then said that medical college staff had been sent to Kgmu Lucknow on Monday for training.
They stated that the letter, related to important items including kits, has been sent to the state government to test 5,000 samples of Zika.
“So far, Zika is being tested on your KG lab in Lucknow, in addition to the National Virology Institute in Pune,” said the authorities further.
Zika’s infection was also identified through RNA like Covid, told senior officials at GSVM.
