Nagpur: Ravindra Thakary District collector on Tuesday announced that the local agency poll under Zilla Parisiti (ZP) and Panchayat Samiti will be held on July 19.
Polling, which will be held after all Covid-19 safety guidelines, will be held for 16 seats.
In ZP and 31 on Gram Panchayat (GP).
The calculation will take place on July 20, with the results stated on July 23.
The nomination will be accepted until July 5 3PM, after that the filtering process will begin.
On July 6, the list of final candidates will be displayed.
Those who are refused nominations will have until July 9 to appeal against it, where the final decision is likely to be on July 12.
The collector announced that training for poll staff will begin from July 7-15 July, the staff will be given training in EVM preparation followed by ‘Counswer Training’ on July 16.
Taking into account the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, district health workers have been appointed as Nodal officers.
Awareness will be made among voters and staff about its importance to take part in the safety protocol like wearing a mask.
Outside the polling booth, the circle will be painted / marked on the ground for voters to queue so that Covid’s distance norms are followed.
