Belfast: Former Zimbabwe Skipper and Wicketkeeper-Batsman Brendan Taylor has decided to retire from Cricket International and will play his last match on Monday against Ireland.
Taylor made his debut in 2004 in Odi against Sri Lanka and later became one of the best Zimbabwean players in Cricket International.
“This is with a heavy heart that I announce that tomorrow is my last match for my beloved country.
The 17th highest extreme and extreme lowest and I will not change it for the world,” Taylor said in a statement on Twitter.
“It was taught me to be humble, to always remind myself how lucky I was in my position for so long.
To wear a badge proudly and leave everything in the field.” My goal is to always leave the team in a better position when I first arrived in 2004, I hope I have done it, “Taylor added.
Batsman 34 years on Sunday thanked Zimbabwe Cricket, teammates, family and fans in Emotional notes.

Taylor has scored 6677 operating from 204 ODIS and only less than the former Zimbabwe National record of Andy Flower Batsman from 6786.
