Zinedine Zidane resigns as coach at Real Madrid

MADRID: Zinedine Zidane has resigned as Real Madrid coach with instant effect five days following his team had been pipped into the La Liga name by city rivals Atletico Madrid, the Spanish club said on Thursday.
The Frenchman led Actual to two league titles and three Champions League triumphs in 2 spells as trainer as 2016.
“Real Madrid admits that Zinedine Zidane has chosen to bring a stop to his present spell as coach at the team,” said Real’s announcement.
“Now is the time to honor his choice and show our admiration and gratitude because of his professionalism, enthusiasm and enthusiasm in the past couple of years and to find what he symbolizes Real Madrid.
“Zidane is just one of Real Madrid’s all time greats and his superstar goes beyond what he’s done as a player and coach for our team.
He understands he is constantly in the center of the club’s fans and Real Madrid will always be his residence.
