Zoya Akhtar filmmaker will collaborate with OTT streamer for live-action action music films based on Archie Comics characters – Archie Andrews.
The film titled ‘The Archies’ and will be arranged in the 1960s India.
Akhtar, director of critical hits such as ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and ‘Gully Boy’, will lead the coming story that will introduce Riverdale’s teenager to India.
The previous filmmaker worked with the OTT giant when he directed a short film for the ‘lust’ ‘story’ (2018) and ‘ghost stories’ (2020).

The new project will be produced by Akhtar and Reema Kagti for Tiger babies and also Indian Graphics.
