Zycov-D’s first batch will be used at 10 centers in the GZB

Ghaziabad: The first Lot Zycov-D, an Indian-made vaccine that will be introduced in the warehouse for inoculation against Covid, has arrived in the city.
On Tuesday, preparation for the launch immediately began with a training session for 20 vaccinators, which was shown how to manage the vaccine.
Unlike the other three vaccines used for Covid inoculation in India now – Oxford-Astrazeneca’s Covishield, Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and Russia (Gamaleya) -Made Sputnik V – Zycov-D does not require injection.
This will be given intracermal through a needle-free applicator, which is not painful.
The Zydus Cadila vaccine developed is the worries because this is the first DNA-based vaccine in the world, which uses a DNA strand (Plasmid) which encodes the protein of a novel Coronavirus surge to produce an antibody response from the immune system.
UP is among seven states where the vaccine will be introduced first.
In the state, it will be available in 14 districts – Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow, Meerut, Moradabad, Man, Saharapur, and Varanasi.
Officials say Ghaziabad has received 33,500 zycov-d doses in the first lot and vaccines will be used for people above 18 who have not taken a single dose.
The center with low vaccine coverage such as DASNA, BHOJPUR, Khoda and Loni will manage Zycov-D, which is a three-dose vaccine.
Training in using applicators was delivered to 20 ANMM by the coach of the World Health Organization (WHO).
WHO Surveillance Medical Officer Dr.
Abhishek Kulshrestha said the vaccine would be given through the injector on both shoulders.
“This is a painless procedure, so many people who are afraid of needles will feel acceptable.
The Ministry of Health also focuses on such people who have not developed so far and one reason can be a phobia associated with needles,” said Dr.
Kulshrestha Tii.
Dr.
Neeraj Regency Immunization Officer Agarwal said the launch date had not been resolved.
But he confirmed that the 10 centers will be established in Ghaziabad at first to manage Zycov-d.
Who Medical Officer Dr.
Rajesh Badgal said the dose of 0.1 ml vaccine will be given with a pharmajet applicator.
“Overall, 0.2mm will be given every time the recipient.
The next dose will be given on the 28th and 56th day.
Another important aspect of this vaccine is there will not be a waste while managing it.
Initially, it might take around 10 Minutes to manage vaccines.
But with practice, this will go down, “Badgal said.
Chief Medical Officer Dr.
Bhavtosh Shankhdhar added, “We have reached 97% of our targets as far as the first dose.
DNA-based vaccines will motivate people to get vaccines.
State guidelines to launch awaited vaccine programs.”
