Vadodara: A total of 10,612 people are believed to have a partially or full blindness in the Vadodara Regency area outside the city limits.
Health officials have now taken a door-to-door drive to treat these people.
Under the national program to control blindness and visual disturbances, the Ministry of Health perform cataract surgery and other activities throughout the year.
Door-to-door visits will be taken as part of the program.
Vadodara District Health Officer Dr.
Ashok Jain said that it was believed that according to estimates there were 10,612 people who were fully or partially blind because cataracts in the district.
He said that this population will also be operated by May.
